The ‘Black Lives Matter’ movement has put equality into the spotlight in a way not seen since the death of Stephen Lawrence in 1993.
The Equality Act 2010 pulled together a mass of legislation on diversity but it is clear that more action is needed.
Organisations can already see that simply following the legislation is no longer enough. They are moving to a more proactive approach to tackle issues
such as ethnic mix, microaggressions and gaslighting. I’m sure this will change the way that we work over the next few years.
To get the best from a united team organisations need to focus on their core values and the behaviours to deliver effective working for all staff as well as customers.
We’d welcome the opportunity to discuss this area with you and to learn how you are dealing with it.
